Target-Audience Survey Analysis

My partner and I put out a survey to get an idea of the things that our potential audience would like to see in a movie. However, since we were doing this in a pandemic, we had to do it through our limited social media presence, so we had less results than if we could ask people in person at school. However, we did get 18 responses, which we believe to be enough to provide us with vital information to help shape our movie. Out of those 18 people, 13 of them were male and 5 of them were female, and while there is a gap between the sexes, we believe this shouldn't change the accuracy as the movie we are striving for should be enjoyable by teenagers of both sexes. Roughly 88% of the teens that responded stated that they were between the ages of 15 and 16, meaning that the main characters  should be in tenth grade, as it should be more relatable that way. Speaking of the high school setting, roughly 12 of the 18 respondents are more likely than not to see a movie set in high school, with only 3 people stated they are unlikely to. My partner and I were thinking of using rap music for our opening scene, an idea that was reinforced when only 3 people said they had an unfavorable opinion of the genre. Additionally, our movie will be a teen drama, which seems to be popular with our target audience as 50% of answers were in favor of watching a drama, with only 22% of people saying they are unlikely to watch a drama. In addition, our film will focus on stress in school, and 9 out of 18 responses indicated that school was always stressful. Lastly, our opening scene is planned to be a montage showing the morning routine of the main character. This should go over well with the target audience because only 2 responses said they were opposed to a film opening with a montage.
